Webcams: 10 Mistakes that Most People Make
Choosing the Best Background for Your Video
The background you use in your video is important whether during video conferencing or video shooting. Many times, people choose to go with natural surroundings only to realize that they have displayed things that shouldn’t have shown in public. If you make the right choice and opt for video backgrounds, here are some of the things you should consider before choosing your ideal background.
Choose a slower motion background
When on video, you don’t want those who are watching to find it tough to focus on you. This is only possible when the background you are using is standstill or doesn’t move too fast. When using backgrounds that involve motion, make sure to scrutinize them to ensure that they aren’t moving fast to the extent that it hard to concentrate on the video. Fast-moving backgrounds also make it hard for people to see any text that appears on the screen.
The background should support the presentation
The background you select should be in line with your presentation or else it might put off your audience. Make sure to use a background that doesn’t conflict with the views your audience holds. Instead, tend to focus on backgrounds that help you communicate your message clearly rather than just for showing off.
Choose an uncluttered design
Having a solid background on your video is ideal since it allows you to visualize any aspect you would like. Sometimes busy backgrounds aren’t the best since they tend to interfere with the text display and make it hard for your audience to figure things out. An uncluttered background will not only enhance your video presentation, but also make it eye catching.
Use looping only when necessary
It isn’t commendable to use looping, but if it does help you convey a message better, then you should definitely use it. However, make sure that the loops you select are integrated perfectly so that it becomes quite hard to detect the starting point and end point. A seamless look can be eye-catching and appealing to your audience. When choosing background loops, don’t rush in similar fashion to selecting a solid background if you are to make them appealing.
Choose a proper encoding type
Make sure to choose a background with an encoding that is compatible with your video recording or presentation platform. Never go for formats that are rarely used since this might give people who are trying to stream the videos a lot of problems. You should also have in mind the right resolution and the frame size that is needed for your video. If you are using plugins, also make sure that those you select work with any background when you are adding texts.
